With the financial support received from Opportunity microcredit Romania, Ferenc Szabó has already brought into effect a part of his business plans. The only thing that’s still ahead: a car wash, built exclusively for taxi drivers.

Ferenc Szabó has always been hired in the field of services, more exactly the local public transport. His dedication and humbleness have made it possible for him to remain in the same business for so many years. Since 1994 he is a private contractor, working as a taxi driver. “I wanted to be my own boss” – he declares. He started his business with his own car, but after a certain period of time this didn’t correspond to the legal standards.

The only solution was to acquire a new car, but he didn’t find any financial backup for his plan. He visited in vain all the banks; he couldn’t come by any loans. Without too much hope he decided to give it another shot when he found out about the existence of Opportunity Microcredit Romania and the fact that this financial institution offers loans to small and micro entrepreneurs, like him.

He was pleasantly surprised to see that this institution saw value in his idea, offered help even when it came to making the business plan and treated his case with flexibility and promptitude. With the loans received, he subsequently bought two cars that have enabled his business to develop considerably.
